A new museum exhibit has children experiencing
one of the most remote parts of the world without
ever leaving Charlottesville. The Tibetan Way
Exhibit is now open at the Virginia Discovery Museum on the downtown mall.

The exhibit offers a glimpse into the culture of
Tibet, music and fashion, designed to be understood through a child's eyes.

Joja Wood, deputy director of the Virginia
Discovery Museum said, "We have such a huge
community of Tibetan people in Charlottesville
that we thought this would be a great opportunity to learn from them."

Tibetans living in Charlottesville provided many
of the pieces displayed in the gallery. This is
the first time the museum has showcased anything about the country.

The exhibit runs through March 27.
