SHARON - "China, Tibet, and the Olympic Games," a panel discussion
featuring members of the local Chinese and Tibetan communities, will
be held Wednesday, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Sharon Community Center.

The program is part of Interfaith Action's One Town, Many
Conversations series, in collaboration with the Sharon Pluralism Network.

Shiping Zheng will present the panel discussion and community members
will share their personal perspectives on fears and concerns
regarding the Olympic Games in Beijing this summer.

Another discussion will be held on Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Alan Wachman will present a class on "China and the Olympics:
Justifiable Indignation or Gold Medal Meddling?" Wachman will pose
the question: "Are foreign leaders, Hollywood luminaries, and the
international press justified in criticizing Beijing for its apparent
ills and ill will?"

Registration is due by Tuesday. The events are free, but donations accepted.
