Peaceful Protest against the Olympic Torch Relay in Lhasa, Tibet's Capital City

According to the BOCOG's official website, the Communist Party of
China (CPC) will be showcasing its pompous ceremony of 2008 Beijing
Olympic Torch Relay in Lhasa, on Saturday 21 June, where the recent
protests by Tibetans first started.

Despite the repeated calls and concerns expressed by Tibetans and
human rights campaigners, the CPC are ensuing this untimely
celebration of Torch Relay in Lhasa justifying their killing of
peaceful Tibetan protesters across wider Tibet. Our protest is to
send clear message to the Chinese leadership that they must respect
the Tibetan people's aspirations and they must stop killing people
who calls for freedom and human rights.

Currently, the ruthless Communist regime have imposed unofficial
"marshal law" in Lhasa. Tibetans in Tibet suffer gross violations of
human rights and continues to live in constant fear.

Since March 14th, at least 209 Tibetans were killed following the
brutal crackdowns by the Chinese security personnel across Tibet,
more than 5000 Tibetans detained and several thousand disappeared.

Your support also means that the Tibetan people are not against the
Chinese people as CPC's official media portray vehemently nowadays to
create disharmony and racial tensions between Chinese and Tibetans.
What the Tibetan people really want is an end to China's illegal rule in Tibet.

Please note that there are more protests planned including one on
Saturday 21 June from 11.30am to 1pm at the same venue.
