"On my part, I remain committed to the process of dialogue. It is my firm belief that dialogue and a willingness to look with honesty and clarity at the reality of Tibet can lead us to a viable solution."

A Poem: A Rainbow after the Rain

July 17, 2008

By Tsoltim N. Shakabpa

Thunder only happens when it's raining
China only growls when she's reigning
Vultures only circle where carcasses lie
China only kills where harmless people abide

But rainbows often happen after the rain
And rebirth always happens after death
So let it rain
For there will be a rainbow for Tibet after the rain
Let the darkness of tyranny reign
For the life-giving sun will surely shine after the night of terror

Evil may have their day of bloody gory
Before good crushes them in all its glory
