A poem: A Bright Future for Tibet
October 31, 2008

The butter lamps in Tibet
Do not flicker as brightly as they used to
The prayer wheels in Tibet
Do not turn as smoothly as they used to
The prayer flags in Tibet
Do not flutter as freely as they used to
All because they are shrouded
Under a cloud of despicable tyranny
But the butter lamps will flicker brightly again
The prayers wheels will turn smoothly again
The prayer flags will flutter freely again
Once the dark and infernal clouds are lifted
And blue skies reign again over the whole of Tibet
By the grace of Chenrezig*
