Program of the Dalai Lama's visit to Poland unveiled

A programme has been announced of next month's visit to Poland by
Tibet's spiritual leader the Dalai Lama. He will spend a week in
Poland from December 5, at the invitation of the Speaker of the
Senate, former president Lech Walesa and the parliamentary group for Tibet.

In Warsaw the Dalai Lama will give an open lecture, which is expected
to be attended by several thousand people.

In Gdansk, he will take part in celebrations to mark the 25th
anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize for Lech Walesa and in Krakow he
will receive an honorary doctorate from the Jagiellonian University.
A meeting with the French president is also planned. It will be the
Dalai Lama's third visit to Poland, after the ones in 1993 and 2000.
