The Dalai Lama on Nov 18 appealed to China to
take timely action to stop Tibet's glaciers
melting, saying the environmental crisis was more
urgent than a political solution over Tibet's future, reported Reuters Nov 18.

"A political solution (for Tibet) may take time,
but that's okay, we can wait," it quoted the
Tibetan leader as telling reporters.
