5. Presentation by 2 cyclists around the world for FREE TIBET

University of Calgary, Murray Fraser Hall, Room # 164
June 28, 2003 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM

We need your support. Karen McLinton and Ryan Johnson will be in Calgary
from there
Bicycling tour around the World for a FreeTibet and the rest of the world
where there are human rights violation and war.

On August 27 of 2001, Karen left her home in Jersey, a small island off the
coast of France to bike around the world. Her main aim was to learn about
different countries and their cultures.

Regrettably, she says she learned more about war and human rights abuse than
anything else. Ryan's from Colorado and he spent several months travelling
through Tibet. He learned a lot about the people and the wonderful culture
of Tibet. They want to let the world know about the invasion of Tibet since
1959. 0ver 1.2 million Tibetans killed, over 6000 monasteries destroyed,
not a single family spared (atleast one or more members - killed or tortured
under the Communist china's rule), destruction of ancient & unique Tibetan
culture and the Environment which has been untouched for centuries, Illegal
organ trades by China, forced abortion and sterilisation, brutal torture in
the Tibetan prisons and the Disappearance of Tibetan from the face of the
earth, devastation of Tibetan people by Golmud-Lhasa railway project
(currently under construction), nuclear waste dumps and nuclear weapons by
China and especially the Talibans's weapons were made in China. The
disappearance of Panchen Lama (world's youngest political prisoner), 2nd
highest after Dalai Lama was 6 years old when he and his parent were
kidnapped by Chinese government. Until now there is no news about his
whereabouts.

Please support us in whatever ways you can, as all human beings are same
wanting happiness and not suffering no matter where they live. Communist
China still continues to violate international human rights laws. So,
Please help us in our peaceful and non-violent
struggle. If anyone would like to join with them heading Medicine Hat on
Sunday June 29, 10:00 am from 52 Hawkwood Cr. NW. Everyone is welcome to
join them as far as you wish (an hour or 2 or a day or 2). Contact: Tseden
